Mode of Action

Acetochlor is absorbed mainly by the shoots and secondarily by the roots of germinating plants. Mesotrione is taken up by foliar and roots, with both acropetal and basipetal translocation.
Atrazine is translocated acropetally in the xylem and accumulated in the apical meristems and leaves.

Application Guide

Half fill the spray tank (knapsack sprayer) with water. Add the required amount of herbicide then fill the water to the required level and mix or agitate thoroughly to uniformity.

Ensure that the mixture is used the same day.

Apply early in order to achieve the optimal efficacy, because Governor® 580SE is an early post-emergence herbicide.

Apply on 1-3 leaf stage of grasses (mainly) or 2-4 leaf stage of broadleaf weeds, and maize on 3-5 leaf stage with only single application per growing season.

Prevent spraying drifts to migrate into adjacent fields planted with beans, peas or other cruciferous crops.

Governor® 580SE is usually safe to rotational crops. At least 3 months later for rotational wheat, and at least 8 months later for rotational cotton, peanut, potato, beans and sunflower.

DO NOT use Governor® 580SE on great windy weather conditions or expecting rainfalls within one hour.

Under dry weather conditions, irrigation before application and post rain application facilitates performance of Governor® 580SE.
